Operating Systems may be reinstalled to any existing server from your Cloud Portal. We have many different pre-made Operating Systems you can use to get a fresh installation of the Operating System of your choice. To use any of these Operating Systems on a current server that has already been created, follow the steps below.
Using the Reinstall feature on your VPS will perform a fresh install of the Operating System, and all existing data on the VPS will be lost. We highly suggest ensuring any required data is backed up and taking a snapshot of your VPS before performing this action.
First: Navigate to your server in your Cloud Control Portal, click the Actions drop-down, and select Reinstall in the upper right side of the page under the Create button.
Second: Select the Operating Systems tab, and all the Operating System images we have available for installation will be displayed.
Third: Select the Operating System and any available versions using the drop down arrow that you would like to reinstall on your server and then click Confirm at the bottom of the page
Choose from any of these Operating Systems:
- CentOS 7
- CentOS 6
- cPanel / WHM – CentOS 7
- Ubuntu 18.04
- Ubuntu 16.04
- Ubuntu 14.04
- Fedora 29
- Fedora 28
- Fedora 27
- Fedora 26
- Fedora 25
- Debian 9
- Debian 8
- Windows 2016
- Windows 2012
- Windows 2008
A reinstall can take time to complete. Please allow at least 5-10 minutes for the installation to completely finish before trying to access your server once it is in a Running state.
Fourth: Once the installation is complete, you can now start using your New Operating System.
